About Grant......
I have been playing music all my life and enjoy sharing my originality. After almost three decades of performing live, I still enjoy every single event and just can’t seem to wait for my next gig.
I have gotten to share the stage with a handful of recording artists and it was an incredible learning experience for me. I walked away with a perspective that helps me balance things today.
Although travel is inevitable in this business, I consider myself a “Home-body” and try to stay local to the Arkla-Tex region. (Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas and Oklahoma) The cost of diesel fuel has forced me tighten the reigns even more and travel/perform as a “trio”.
I perform solo and also have a band called “Grant Cook & Friends”. The core of the band is the trio, but when budget allows me to add horns, keyboards and other musicians, I surely do it.
You can also find me performing at Green Acres Baptist Church in Tyler, Tx every Sunday in the main Worship Center. The Celebration Orchestra is incredible and I play acoustic, electric guitars and recently got to play Dobro. I am very blessed to have the opportunity to play worship music as God gave me my talent in the first place.
In addition to live performances, I am a private music instructor and own a small music store at Lake Palestine. Sharing the talent that God has given me is what I have been “called-to-do” and I really enjoy sharing my knowledge along with some humor :)
